
Long-standing Pharmacy IVR/Speech Recognition product line benefits from leading-edge telephony platform and new hosted options.
June 18, 2013 – Ottawa, Ontario, Canada – PIKA Technologies Inc., a pioneer in products that support global telephony, fax, and communications solutions, announced today that Smart Solutions of Utah has successfully ported a key product line to PIKA’s telephony boards and HMP software.
Smart Solutions’ SmartCall product line—an IVR platform designed specifically for pharmacies—is now driven by PIKA’s telephony platform. Thanks to PIKA’s well-engineered API, the migration was complete in less than two months. The PIKA platform is helping Smart Solutions remain competitive and innovative through its mix of features, price, and support.
Craig Swett, CEO at Smart Solutions, reports: “PIKA’s high-level API provided most of the functionality we needed, making it easy to develop. For the few features that we needed to program using the lower-level API, we simply checked with PIKA to make sure what we planned to do would work. PIKA’s support team was very responsive.”

Smart Solutions is also now able to expand its offering with hosted IVR/Speech Recognition solutions. Using PIKA’s HMP software, Smart Solutions’ products can meet the needs of pharmacies that do not want to add a server to their data centers, or who do not have the budget for a blade server.
